Buffalo Creek Brewing is Lake County’s only destination brewery in the heart of Historic Downtown Long Grove. What makes our brewery a destination? We’re not in a warehouse or an old run down building, but have transformed the former Art Studio of Long Grove Academy of Fine Arts into a state of the art brewing facility with Bavarian themed Taproom, Biergarten, Event Room, Patio, Brew Masters Table and Scenic Lawns. With a facility that has capacity for more than 350 people, we’re serious about serving fresh Craft Beer.

BACKSTORY

Mike started brewing before craft beer was available at every outlet. In those days, he really enjoyed imported beers from Germany and Belgium and when he started home brewing he leaned towards German and Belgian styles. These beers have been brewed for centuries and have better flavor profiles than most American beers. He does like challenges and as a result, has created more than 40 recipes that will serve as our recipe base. As we continue to grow, we’ll continue to explore new and old styles with unique flavor profiles.
